An internship (100) hours was completed with the Gold Coast Suns over the course of twelve weeks between my studies (non-intensive). Producing assets from guides, work booklets, website landing pages, EDM’s, Ticketek, powerpoint templates, promotional material and printable media.

This internship focused around branding, publication and digital illustration - while operating closely with a dynamic work environment alongside the marketing sector and their mid-weight graphic designer. Many of the works concepts produced followed their strict style-guide while others had more creative freedom to work outside of the guide.

Assets created: a preview

I also assisted in the design of their ‘little legends’ landing page on their official website. This page is dedicated to the young fans of the AFL club - where I had designed some CMS headers, activity tiles and printable worksheets. Many of my designs weren’t used as they used a voting poll and kept the worksheets I had designed for the printed booklet. The assets for this page were designed by their mid-weight designer, my designs are featured in my journal document link below - follow the link to view their website.

Process journal

A process journal was created to document my journey and process during my time at the Gold Coast Suns. It focused on the transition between University work/ freelance designing to working within a well established team and learning to adapt to their dynamic work environment.

This comprehensive journal details every project I had worked on, the methods used at this establishment and what I had learned on this design journey. Follow the link to view my work.
